CARDOZO'S FIRST TORAH!

Cardozo Law School has no Torah. We must change that. We must ensure that The Book of Law resides in one of NYC's premiere law schools.

The Cardozo Torah is being written in the righteous merit and memory of Herbert Papernik. His loving nephew Adam Chernichaw (Class of 95’) and family, may they be blessed with many, healthy, prosperous, generous years, is dedicating the Torah to Chabad of Cardozo, with the knowledge that the eternal flame of Torah will serve as an eternal light for the Cardozo community and an eternal zchus for their beloved uncle.

The recent events, beginning with Covid, the attacks in Israel, the tragedies that have befallen our people both here and abroad, compels us to write a better tomorrow by writing the living words of our source of life.

The Torah is called the Tree of Life. There is no better cause than life itself around which the Cardozo Law School community of alumni, students, faculty, and family can unite.
